The Wolverine QUAKE MTW recoil system adds pneumatic recoil to the MTW platform. It is designed to work with the updated INFERNO XTS HPA engine through its dedicated recoil connection. Compressed air is routed to the stock, and the mass of the replica transfers the recoil impulse directly to the shoulder without delay.
The INFERNO XTS builds on the hybrid technology introduced with the GEN2 and uses Wolverine's patented separate poppet and nozzle system. Its Extended Stroke design improves the hop-up seal, increases feeding tolerance and separates the loading and firing movements. The redesigned valve body optimises internal airflow, reduces wasted air and increases the adjustment range for dwell settings.
The INFERNO XTS uses interchangeable flow restrictors that allow recoil and muzzle energy to be adjusted independently. Line pressure can remain high for stronger recoil while the restrictor limits BB velocity to keep the replica within the field's energy limit.
The QUAKE MTW system replaces the buffer tube and uses the replica's mass to transmit recoil through the stock. Recoil strength depends on operating pressure and does not affect feeding reliability. Recoil can be disabled by disconnecting the recoil air line and closing the outlet with the included plug.

Compatibility
The upgrade kit fits Wolverine MTW Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3 receivers without modification or additional adapters. It is compatible with the MTW-308 when used with a separate adapter. It is not compatible with WRAITH stock systems because both systems replace the buffer tube. This version is not compatible with the MTW Gen-12 shotgun.
Frequently asked questions
Can the recoil be disabled?
Yes. Disconnect the Mini Airline and close the recoil outlet with the included plug.
Is it compatible with WRAITH systems?
No. QUAKE and WRAITH use the same buffer-tube position.
Is a solenoid included?
No. The upgrade kit includes the INFERNO XTS engine without a solenoid and is intended to replace an existing INFERNO GEN2 engine.
