Description
TerraBB is the market's first genuinely third-generation airsoft BB, which clearly differs from traditional PLA-based bio BBs. Whereas 2nd generation PLA BBs require industrial composting conditions to decompose. The biodegradability of the PBS polymer used in TerraBB balls has been verified by the TUV Austria OK HOME Compost certificate, which shows that the polymer decomposes at temperatures between 20 and 30°C.
The BBs have been developed in Finland, and they are manufactured from non-toxic materials. The technology behind TerraBB is known as TRUEBIO, and it has been designed specifically for the needs of airsoft: safe use in outdoor games without compromises in performance.
Why is TerraBB special?
- Genuine biodegradability in nature - no industrial composting requirements
- OK Home Compost-certified polymer - an internationally recognised environmental label for polymer we use. Check certificate requirements.
- Safe structure - the BB does not fragment on impact, which reduces risks for eye and face protection
- Designed in Finland, manufactures in Taiwan - developed in cooperation between enthusiasts and environmental specialists
Use and storage
Because the material is biodegradable in nature, it is more sensitive to moisture than ordinary PLA.
- Dry storage conditions significantly extend the service life.
- When sealed in the package, the BBs remain usable for at least 18 months. TerraBB reserves the right to make changes. The shelf life may be longer if the patch remains intact and sealed.
In game situations, moisture does not matter - the BBs retain their accuracy and strength throughout the entire game day.
Certified and safe materials
TerraBB represents 3rd generation airsoft BBs, also known as TRUE BIO BBs. The polymers used are OK Home Compost-certified, which is an internationally recognised environmental label.

Pros and cons after one summer of usage:
Pros:
- Better for environment (as said in the info)
- reliable feeding *¹
- consisted
- okay price
- they seem to be slighly more slippery than other bbs ive used before.*²
Cons:
- only 0,2g available, as of 7th August 2026.*³
*¹ I have 3 different gas blowback rifles and especially one of them, with a full steel homemade feed ramp, is really picky about what bbs feed nice and shoot straight. These terra bbs have fed through all of my airsoft replicas without any issues, so a nice quality!
*² The bbs being a bit more slippery or at least a bit more resistant to hopup, has helped with overhop-issues of my gbbr collection.
*³ In general, the 0,2g is not a best performing weight for a 6mm bb. It is normal that medium - long range shots in an airsoft game are not registered in the receiving end... On close combat its not that hard hitting so thats a nicer thing ofc...
Summary and conclusions:
I am really waiting for the heavier bbs to be available, but have decided, on environmental reasons, to not buy any other bb brand while waiting. Playing with a gbbr, running 0,2g while the opponents use hpa with a fake bio 0,36g makes you a bit underdog in long ranges, and even a close surprise situation from your side might end up, due to the light bb weight, to no registration of hits and you self being hit, but... It is an environmental choise.
Thank you! Im reaally waiting for 0,3g!
My favourite airsoft store, I'm a long time customer. If theres something they dont have, just ask, they might be able to get it for you!
