The SHS reinforced piston with a 14-tooth steel rack is a versatile choice for servicing and upgrading electric airsoft guns. The steel tooth rack improves wear resistance, and the piston is well suited for more demanding setups as well.
Pre-lowered tooth for easier angle of engagement adjustment
The second tooth on the rack is pre-lowered for adjusting the angle of engagement between the piston and sector gear. This reduces the amount of modification required, especially when correcting the piston engagement angle as part of an AOE adjustment.
Wide tooth rack provides more shimming flexibility
The piston uses a wider-than-usual steel tooth rack. The wider design provides more lateral adjustment range when shimming the sector gear, allowing the gear position to be optimized without easily losing proper engagement with the piston rack.
The wider tooth rack also means that the piston does not fit every gearbox. For example, it is not compatible with the Tokyo Marui M14 gearbox.

We recommend gluing the tooth rack into the piston body during installation. This helps secure the rack and improves the durability of the piston assembly, especially in higher-stress setups.
