A steel 1st sear is a must-have if you want to use a more powerful spring or a configuration with a standard 45-degree trigger mechanism in your weapon. Standard sears are weak metal and VSR series rifles are particularly prone to 1st sear breakage at the trigger point.
When tuning, we also recommend renewing the tuning peg (sear 2).
