The delayer clip is a specialized part designed for the sector gear, intended to extend the contact time of the tappet plate with the sector gear. The longer contact ensures the nozzle stays out of the hop-up chamber for a longer period, giving the magazine more time to feed BBs into the chamber. This part is generally recommended for use with high-speed motors and gearbox setups, but a particularly powerful battery can also increase the rate of fire enough to make a delayer clip advisable. This helps prevent dry firing.
