The Inferno GEN 2 takes HPA airsoft technology to a whole new level. A few years ago, Wolverine Airsoft released the SMP pneumatic system, which proved to be a great success. Following the success of the SMP, similar products from competing manufacturers appeared on the market, as the technology used in the SMP turned out to be highly effective. The release of the Inferno Gen2 once again changes the competitive landscape, just like the SMP did.
The GEN 2 Inferno combines a single-solenoid system with an independently moving “poppet valve” and nozzle. The single-solenoid design ensures the easy adjustability that Wolverine products are known for. GEN 2 specifically addresses the “open bolt” issue (open bolt problem: the gun only works with stiff hop-up rubbers). The GEN2 operating principle can be described as a hybrid between open-bolt and closed-bolt systems, as GEN2 functions as open bolt from the user’s perspective, but the BB is chambered into the hop-up unit like in a closed bolt. This hybrid design allows for easy tuning, reliable feeding even on the first shot, and improved air efficiency. GEN2 uses approximately 10–15% less air compared to previous models.
- Patented independent poppet valve and nozzle
- Hybrid design enables a short pause in airflow between loading and firing the BB
- Improves hop-up performance
- Compatible with previously released Wolverine Airsoft electronic components
- Estimated 10–15% increase in air efficiency
Features
- HPA Drop-in Cylinder Replacement
- Adjustable velocity, rate of fire, and burst mode
- Instant trigger response
- FCU “full time sleep mode” – FCU consumes minimal power when the gun is not firing
Specifications
- Operating pressure: 40–120 psi
- Muzzle energy: 0.5 J–3 J (depends on setup; longer barrels produce higher energy)
- Rate of Fire (ROF): Adjustable: 5–40 RPS
- Fire modes: Semi-auto, burst (1, 2, 3, 5, or 7 BBs), or full-auto
- Trigger delay: ~10 ms (time from trigger pull to BB exiting the barrel)
- FCU dimensions: 1.55 cm x 5.10 cm

Note!
To use the Wolverine HPA kit, you will also need a suitable battery for the FCU, a high-pressure air tank, and a regulator!
