In the bearings category you will find various ball and slide bearings for airsoft electric guns. Ball bearings provide low rolling resistance and allow the gear set to spin smoothly. The advantage of slide bearings lies in their durability when properly lubricated.
Experienced tuners often combine different bearing types. For example, placing a slide bearing under the spur gear and ball bearings on the other gear axles can improve gearbox durability while maintaining nearly the same smooth rotation as a full ball bearing setup.
