The Maple Leaf Macaron hop-up nub differs from the traditional point-shaped pressure nub. The Macaron nub is a modern, flat, plate-like design several millimeters long. For the flat hop-up nub to function as intended, it also requires a flat hop-up tensioner. We recommend pairing the Macaron hop-up nub with Maple Leaf’s flat curved tensioner.
Hop-up Rubber Degree Rating (Hardness)
The degree rating of hop-up rubbers indicates their softness. The lower the degree, the softer the rubber. Different hardness levels perform differently across various power ranges. In other words, the degree rating can serve as a guideline when selecting the right rubber for your airsoft gun once its power is known. As a rule of thumb, the more powerful the gun, the harder the hop-up rubber should be. The table below shows the Taiwanese manufacturer’s own recommendations for rubber suitability across different power levels.
| Hardness and Color |
