The Maple Leaf 2021 Super Macaron bucking represents an updated version of its product line. In the 2021 series, the hop-up bucking material has been changed to a silicone-based compound, which improves performance in varying temperatures. The 2021 hop-up buckings stand out especially in cool or cold conditions, as silicone retains its elasticity even in low temperatures.
The Maple Leaf 2021 Super Macaron hop-up buckings are based on the proven design solutions of the previous Super Macaron model. Additionally, the hardness of the bucking can be easily identified by its color. The Super Macaron features special grooves on the outside, designed to improve the seal between the hop-up chamber and the bucking.
The Maple Leaf Macaron series hop-up bucking nub differs from the traditional point-shaped contact patch. The Macaron bucking uses a modern, several-millimeter-long flat and plate-like contact surface. For this flat nub to function as intended, it also requires a flat hop-up tensioner. We recommend pairing the Macaron hop-up bucking with Maple Leaf’s flat curved tensioner.
Hop-up Bucking Hardness Ratings
The hardness rating indicates the softness of the bucking. The lower the rating, the softer the bucking. Different hardness levels perform differently across various power ranges. In other words, the hardness rating can serve as a guideline when selecting a suitable bucking for your airsoft gun, based on its power. As a rule of thumb, the more powerful the gun, the harder the hop-up bucking should be. The table below shows the Taiwanese manufacturer’s own recommendations for different power levels.
