Vector Optics Frenzy-S 1x17x24 MOS Multi Reticle Red Dot is an extremely lightweight and low-profile red dot sight with no magnification. Weighing only 19 grams without the mount, it is particularly well suited for pistols and other setups where compact size and low weight are important.
The sight uses the Vector Optics MGT footprint, which is compatible with RMSc and SMS mounting standards. A Weaver / RIS rail mount is included in the package. When mounting the sight on a pistol, a separate mounting plate or adapter compatible with the pistol model and the MGT or RMSc/SMS footprint is required.
The MOS designation refers to the integrated Motion Sensor function. The sight switches off automatically after two minutes of inactivity and turns back on when movement is detected. This helps conserve battery power while keeping the sight ready for use.
The Multi Reticle function allows the user to choose between three reticle options:
- 3 MOA red dot
- 40 MOA circle
- Circle and dot combination
The small 3 MOA dot is suitable for precise aiming, while the larger circle helps the user acquire the target quickly at close range. Reticle brightness can be adjusted through eight daylight settings. The sight also includes two night vision compatible brightness levels.
The 17 × 24 mm window features a multi-coated lens and provides a clear sight picture. Eye relief is unlimited, allowing the sight to be used with both eyes open. Windage and elevation adjustments have a click value of 1 MOA, with an adjustment range of more than 45 MOA in both directions.
The sight body is manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy and finished in matte black. The IPX6-rated construction withstands powerful water jets, while the sight is also shock-resistant up to 1,000 G. It is designed to withstand recoil generated by 9 × 19 mm, .45 ACP, 12 GA and .338 Lapua Magnum firearms.
The sight is powered by one CR2032 battery. Battery life is up to 20,000 hours when used at the lowest visible brightness setting.
