The Maple Leaf Macaron hop-up bucking nub differs from the traditional point-shaped nub. The Macaron bucking nub is a modern, flat, plate-like design several millimeters long. For the flat hop-up nub to work as intended, it also requires a flat hop-up tensioner. We recommend pairing the Macaron hop-up bucking with Maple Leaf’s flat curved tensioner.
Hop-up Bucking Hardness Rating
The hardness rating of hop-up buckings indicates the softness of the rubber. The lower the rating, the softer the rubber. Buckings with different hardness levels perform differently across various power ranges. In other words, the hardness rating can serve as a guideline when selecting a suitable bucking for an airsoft gun, based on its power output. As a rule of thumb, the more powerful the gun, the harder the hop-up bucking should be. The table below shows the Taiwanese manufacturer’s own recommendations for bucking suitability across different power levels.
| Hardness and Color |
