Although the mesh on Nuprol mesh eye protection is more than strong enough for airsoft use, the user should be aware that with mesh-based eye protection there is always a possibility that a BB may fragment after hitting a branch or other obstacle before it reaches the mesh. In such cases, small BB fragments may enter the eye area, even though the risk is very low. There are also BBs with unusually weak binding agents, which may cause them to fragment even inside the magazine. Certain bio-based tracer BBs, for example, may increase the risk of fragments reaching the eyes.
