The Maple Leaf Autobot 2023 series hop-up buckings represent the latest development in Maple Leaf’s hop-up bucking design. In the Silicone series, the material has been changed to a silicone-based compound, which improves performance in varying temperatures. These Silicone hop-up buckings stand out especially in cool or cold conditions, as silicone retains its elasticity even in low temperatures.
The design of the 2023 series buckings is based on the proven original Autobot series. The most distinctive feature of the Autobot series is its long, hourglass-shaped curved hop-up nub, which can provide strong spin even for heavier BBs.

- Includes a steel C-clip that improves nozzle seal against the bucking. Use of the C-clip is optional.

Standard round nubs in airsoft guns do not work optimally with Maple Leaf’s new buckings featuring a long contact patch, as a point-shaped nub bends the contact area of the bucking into a curve. This prevents full benefit from the Autobot hop’s long contact surface and may cause the bucking to deform into an unintended position. We recommend using the bucking with a Maple Leaf curved nub or a curved adjustment arm for best performance. For GBB pistols, it is recommended to use the Maple Leaf I-Key nub.
Hop-up Bucking Degree Rating (Hardness)
The degree rating of hop-up buckings indicates their softness. The lower the degree, the softer the bucking. Different hardness levels perform differently across various power ranges. In other words, the degree rating can be used as a guideline when selecting a suitable bucking for your airsoft gun based on its power. As a rule of thumb: the more powerful the gun, the harder the hop-up bucking should be. The table below shows the Taiwanese manufacturer’s own recommendations for suitable power ranges.
