The Clawgear 6-inch IR light stick works the same way as any other light stick, but the light it produces is in the infrared spectrum. For this reason, the light emitted by the IR stick is not visible to the naked eye. The IR light stick can be used for marking objects so that they are only visible through night vision devices or, for example, a camera.
The light stick is made of flexible plastic and contains non-toxic chemicals in two separate ampoules. The stick is activated by bending it to break the ampoules, allowing the liquids to mix when the stick is shaken. The chemical reaction inside the stick produces light without heat for several hours.
