Retro Arms is a true premium-grade manufacturer from the Czech Republic. The parts machined from aircraft-grade aluminum are top-notch both aesthetically and structurally. Retro Arms decided to take hop-up chamber development a step further, resulting in what is most likely the best possible hop-up chamber for AK series rifles. After extensive research, Retro Arms developed several innovative features: A split collar nut is used to stabilize and secure the inner barrel, centering it very tightly within the hop-up chamber body. During tightening, there is no need to apply excessive force. This part is, of course, also machined from aluminum. Although the chamber is designed especially for Retro Arms CNC gearboxes, it can be installed in almost any V3 gearbox. In some cases, the front screw mount may need to be filed thinner. Additionally, the hop-up chamber can be fitted with Retro Arms’ separate hop-up spacer, which prevents incorrect magazine seating in the magwell and improves the chamber’s alignment in the receiver.
