Fogtech®DX Instant Anti-Fog Cloth
Fogtech®DX Instant Anti-Fog Cloth is a fast and highly effective anti-fog treatment for safety glasses, goggles, visors and other compatible plastic and glass optics. The pre-moistened cloth leaves a microscopically thin, transparent coating on the lens that absorbs and spreads moisture before it can form the tiny droplets we see as fog.
Fogtech®DX is particularly useful in airsoft, where heat, perspiration and restricted airflow can quickly fog eye protection. Clear lenses improve comfort and, more importantly, reduce the temptation to remove eye protection during a game simply to clear the lenses.
How does Fogtech®DX work?
Fogtech®DX uses water-absorbing, silicone-based surfactants. After application, the fast-evaporating carrier disappears and leaves a thin transparent coating on the lens. Instead of allowing moisture from perspiration, breathing or humid air to condense into visible droplets, the coating absorbs and spreads the moisture across the surface.
The result is a clear lens without the misty layer that would normally obstruct vision.
Fast treatment without polishing
Fogtech®DX is supplied as an individually sealed, pre-moistened cloth, so the correct amount of solution is easy to apply without sprays, separate applicators or polishing.
- Make sure the lens is clean. If there is dust or grit on the surface, rinse it away with water first to avoid scratching the lens.
- Open the packet immediately before use.
- Wipe a wet, even coat of Fogtech®DX over the side of the lens that normally fogs.
- Leave the coating to dry clear. Typical drying time is approximately five seconds.
- Do not buff or polish the coating after application. Rubbing the coating dry can reduce both its anti-fog performance and optical clarity.
Fogtech®DX can be completely removed with plain water or a damp cloth. If the lenses are treated regularly, it is a good idea to wash them periodically and apply a fresh coating to a clean surface.
Designed for long-lasting anti-fog protection
Fogtech®DX is designed so that a single correctly applied treatment can provide anti-fog protection for an entire day under typical conditions. Actual duration depends on the environment, moisture level, handling of the lenses and the type of eyewear being used.
Extremely wet conditions, direct exposure to water or steam, wiping the lens or other unusually demanding conditions can shorten the life of the coating.
Suitable for plastic and glass optics
Fogtech®DX is designed for plastic and glass optics, including polycarbonate safety lenses, goggles and visors.
Please note: some prescription lenses and advanced water-, oil- or fingerprint-repellent coatings are specifically designed to reject topical treatments. Coatings such as Crizal® and Alize® may therefore prevent Fogtech®DX from adhering properly and can significantly reduce or completely prevent its anti-fog effect.
If prescription glasses are worn underneath protective goggles, both sides of the prescription lenses may need to be treated if both surfaces are prone to fogging.
Why a pre-moistened cloth?
The individually sealed cloth provides a consistent amount of Fogtech®DX and stays protected from dust and dirt until it is opened. This makes application simple and reduces the risk of rubbing abrasive particles across expensive protective or optical lenses.
Atom Airsoft comment
Over the years, we at Atom Airsoft have tested many different anti-fog products in airsoft use. Most of them have provided at least some benefit, but Fogtech®DX has proven to be the most reliable option in our own experience.
Many other anti-fog treatments have required reapplication during a game day, while a correctly applied Fogtech treatment has regularly lasted through the entire day. We have also distributed Fogtech test samples to players at larger airsoft events and received similarly positive feedback.
For players who regularly struggle with fogging eye protection, Fogtech®DX is one of the products we are comfortable recommending based on our own experience.

Important
- Do not buff or polish the coating after application.
