The second-generation AirsoftPro hop-up unit for M249 airsoft machine guns is CNC-machined from a single piece of 6061-T6 aluminum. The surface of the unit is finished with a fine red anodization. The 6061-T6 material combines durability and light weight, with the entire unit weighing only 29 grams. A high-quality hop-up unit is one of the most essential components when aiming for an accurate and high-performance airsoft gun.
QUALITY AND SMART SOLUTIONS
One advantage of the second-generation M249 over the previous model is the numbered and notched adjustment ring, as well as a completely redesigned pressure arm. The adjustment ring clearly shows the hop-up setting level on a ten-step scale, and the notched adjustment ensures the hop-up stays in the desired position.
The original M249 pressure arm differs significantly from traditional arms and is generally considered inferior compared to the U-shaped arms found in standard AEGs. In the AirsoftPro Gen. 2 M249 hop-up, the pressure arm is U-shaped, and its adjustment is designed so that the arm moves vertically in its track (TDC).

- Optimal performance requires excellent compatibility between the nozzle and hop-up bucking. We recommend testing different combinations to find the best setup.
- To make installing the hop-up bucking easier, spray silicone oil on the outside of the bucking before installation.
- You will need a 1.5mm hex key for installation.
