The Maple Leaf 2026 Diamond is an upgraded hop-up bucking designed for VSR and compatible GBB airsoft guns. Its W-shaped, dual-contact-point design is engineered to improve BB backspin and effective range, while the updated 2026 sealing structure helps reduce air leakage and improve shot-to-shot consistency. This 60° hardness version offers a good balance of grip and durability, making it particularly suitable for standard- to medium-powered setups.
The Diamond bucking uses a W-shaped contact surface that applies pressure to the BB at two contact points. This design helps centre the BB and generate strong, consistent backspin for a stable trajectory. The Diamond is Maple Leaf's range-focused option, while the Delta version uses a V-shaped contact surface that places greater emphasis on accuracy and trajectory consistency.
Updated Design and Improved Air Sealing
The 2026 version features a redesigned sealing structure with a slightly narrowed entrance to help reduce air leakage around the nozzle. C-Clip reinforcements at the front and rear support the sealing lips, while an additional slim black air-seal ring further improves airtightness.
Better air sealing can reduce shot-to-shot muzzle velocity variations, making the hop-up system more consistent and easier to fine-tune. The revised construction combines improved sealing with the Diamond contact surface to support predictable performance.
60° Hardness for Standard- to Medium-Powered Setups
The FDE Diamond hop-up bucking has a hardness rating of 60° and a recommended muzzle velocity range of approximately 90-120 m/s (295-390 FPS). This makes it a versatile choice for standard-powered GBB pistols, gas blowback rifles and compatible VSR sniper rifles.
Compared with harder 70° or 75° versions, the softer 60° rubber generally provides more grip and requires less hop-up pressure to generate backspin. This can be particularly useful in lower-powered setups or when operating in cooler temperatures.
The most suitable hardness also depends on BB weight, muzzle velocity, hop-up components and operating conditions. The recommended velocity range should therefore be treated as a practical guideline rather than an absolute limit.
Compatibility
The Maple Leaf 2026 Diamond is designed for VSR-type sniper rifles and GBB airsoft guns using VSR/GBB-standard hop-up buckings, including compatible Tokyo Marui, WE and KJW models.
The positioning lug also features a cutting guide for certain M4/AR15 GBB aftermarket hop-up chambers. Compatibility depends on the specific chamber and inner barrel design. This bucking is not intended for standard AEG hop-up systems.
