The Warrior Assault Systems 901 Elite 4 model is based on the well-known 901 vest. The 901 vest is recognized for meeting the needs of special forces, but also for being difficult to put on without assistance. In designing the Warrior Assault Systems 901 Elite version, special forces’ feedback on this issue was taken into account, resulting in the addition of a zippered side section secured with hook-and-loop and three snaps. The opening mechanism is located below the right shoulder strap, and by opening the hook-and-loop and zipper, the vest can be split at the front. This feature makes it easy to put on and take off without help.
The inner surface of the vest, against the body, features a 3D mesh to improve airflow. The flap covering the chest, which includes six rows of MOLLE webbing, can be folded away. When the flap is open, a hard SAPI plate or a training weight plate can be inserted inside the vest.

Fabric
Warrior uses 500D fabric in its products. Fabric made from 500D fibers offers excellent abrasion and tear resistance. The solution-dyed fibers are naturally stain-resistant and easy to clean.
Threads
The durability of a product constructed from stitching depends on the quality of the thread used. The main factors reducing thread lifespan are mold and sunlight. To maximize the lifespan of WAS products, only U.S.-made nylon threads are used, which are protected against UV light and mold damage.

MOLLE webbing
The MOLLE webbing on Warrior products is designed to withstand heavy use. The webbing is rated to handle the following loads:
- 25mm (1 inch) breaking strength: 544kg (1200 lbs)
- 38mm (1.5 inch) breaking strength: 816kg (1800 lbs)
- 50mm (2 inch) breaking strength: 997kg (2200 lbs)
