Description
VFC AV105 / AK105 GBBR is a realistically designed gas-powered airsoft rifle that combines the compact construction of the AK-105, steel external components and powerful blowback recoil. The model is based on VFC's AV-series AK GBBR system, which provides a realistic operating cycle and authentic weapon handling.
The AK-105 is shorter and more manoeuvrable than the full-length AK-74M. The side-folding polymer stock reduces the rifle's length for transportation and movement in confined spaces while providing a stable shooting position when extended. The traditional polymer handguard, AK-100-series stock and model-specific flash hider complete the authentic appearance.
Realistic Steel Construction
The receiver and several key external and internal components of the VFC AV105 are made of steel or stainless steel. The receiver rivet placement, sights, outer barrel length, front sight block and other details specific to the AK-105 have been reproduced as accurately as possible.
The AK-style side rail on the left side of the receiver allows a compatible optic mount to be installed. This makes it possible to fit an optical sight without permanently altering the rifle's traditional appearance.
Powerful Gas Blowback System
The rifle is equipped with a CNC-machined one-piece steel bolt carrier, a long-stroke gas piston-style assembly and a large 22 mm cylinder. The heavy bolt assembly cycles with every shot and produces powerful, clearly noticeable recoil.
The controls operate in the same manner as those of the AK firearm. The rifle is cocked using the charging handle, the fire mode is selected using the selector on the right side of the receiver, and the mechanism cycles with every shot. This provides a significantly more realistic operating feel than a conventional electric airsoft rifle.
Traditional AK-105 Configuration
The standard model is equipped with an AK-105-style polymer handguard, pistol grip and side-folding AK-100-series polymer stock. This configuration preserves the rifle's traditional military appearance and makes it particularly suitable for players or collectors looking for a realistic AK-105 setup.
The stock can be folded to the left side of the receiver for transportation or movement in confined spaces. The rifle can also be operated with the stock folded.
EZ-HOP System
The VFC AV105 uses an easily adjustable EZ-HOP system. The hop-up is adjusted by pulling the bolt slightly to the rear and turning the adjustment wheel on the hop-up unit. Adjustment does not require the front end or any other part of the rifle to be disassembled.
The hop-up unit is designed for easy maintenance. The system is compatible with commonly available VSR-10-standard inner barrels and hop-up buckings, providing a wide range of options for maintenance and performance upgrades.
Lightweight 42-Round Gas Magazine
The rifle includes a 42-round gas magazine made of aluminium alloy. The magazine weighs approximately 388 grams, making it considerably lighter than many conventional steel GBBR magazines.
The magazine's gas reservoir has a capacity of approximately 107 cm³. The large gas capacity supports the powerful blowback system and provides sufficient gas flow for the heavy bolt assembly.
The magazine features an empty-magazine detection mechanism that prevents the rifle from firing after the last BB. The mechanism can be disabled for dry-fire training, allowing the rifle to be operated without BBs.
