Specna Arms SA-J79 CORE™ HAL ETU Gen.2 - Black
The Specna Arms SA-J79 CORE™ HAL ETU Gen.2 is a full-length AK-style AEG combining a lightweight reinforced polymer construction with programmable HAL™ electronics, upgraded CORE™ Gen.2 internals and a long 455 mm precision inner barrel.
The SA-J79 belongs to the redesigned Specna Arms J-Series™ CORE™ Gen.2 range. The series offers modern internal components and practical adjustment options in an accessible factory configuration suitable for both newer and more experienced airsoft players.
Its traditional fixed-stock AK configuration and 1,025 mm overall length give the rifle a classic appearance and stable handling. The long barrel assembly makes the SA-J79 particularly suitable for outdoor games and players who prefer a full-length AK platform.
Programmable HAL™ ETU
The HAL™ electronic trigger unit detects trigger movement using magnetic Hall-effect sensors instead of a conventional mechanical trigger switch. Its firing and response settings can be programmed directly through the trigger without opening the rifle or using a separate application.

Updated CORE™ Gen.2 internals
The internal mechanism is built around a Version 3 gearbox with 8 mm bearings and 16:1 steel gears. The compression system includes an aluminium cylinder, sealed polymer piston and cylinder heads, a sealed aluminium nozzle and a piston with a 14.5-tooth steel rack.

Magnus™ TDC hop-up chamber
The rotary Magnus™ TDC hop-up chamber applies pressure directly from above, allowing precise and stable adjustment. It is paired with a 455 mm long, 6.03 mm brass inner barrel to support a consistent BB trajectory in the factory configuration.
Quick-change spring system
The quick-change spring system allows the mainspring to be replaced without completely disassembling the gearbox. This makes it easier to adapt the muzzle velocity to different field limits and styles of play.
The advertised muzzle velocity of the standard configuration is approximately 116 m/s or 380 FPS. An additional M90 spring is included for reducing the output when required.
Lightweight AK-style construction
The receiver and several external components are made from durable nylon-fibre-reinforced polymer. Selected structural parts, including components of the barrel assembly, sight blocks, handguard retainers and muzzle device, are made from aluminium and zinc alloy.
The top cover, fire selector and trigger guard are made from steel. The receiver also features an AK-style dovetail side rail for installing a compatible optic mount.
The battery compartment is located underneath the top cover and provides space for a stick-type battery. The rifle is LiPo-ready and uses a DEANS / T-connect battery connector. A Small Tamiya to DEANS adapter is included.
Magazine compatibility
The rifle is compatible with many AK-style magazines. Magazines from Cyma, JG, E&L and Bolt generally fit without modification, while magazines from other manufacturers may require minor fitting.

Activating the HAL™ trigger before first use
The HAL™ trigger must be activated when the battery is connected for the first time:
- Set the fire selector to SAFE.
- Connect the battery to the rifle.
- Wait approximately three seconds until the system emits a beep.
- Press and hold the trigger fully for approximately five seconds.
- Release the trigger after the confirmation beep.
Note: The battery and charger are not included.
