The SHS spring guide spacer is designed for version 2 and 3 gearboxes as part of a dual sector gear (DSG) setup. The spacer pre-compresses the spring and increases its power when used with DSG gears. In other words, the spacer allows you to use lower-power springs with DSG gears.
