Pirate Arms LiPo Battery 7.4V 550mAh 20C – electric pistol battery (AEP) is compatible with all AEP electric pistols equipped with a Tokyo Marui-compatible battery connector. The LiPo battery offers better cold resistance and a higher rate of fire compared to a standard nickel battery.
Specifications:
- Voltage: 7.4V (2 cells)
- Capacity: 560 mAh / 20 C
- Charging current (max.): 0.6 A
- Discharge current (max.): 11.2 A
- Dimensions: 85x25x12 mm
- Weight: 30 g
Note!
- Do not charge LiPo batteries with chargers supplied with electric pistols
- LiPo batteries must only be charged with chargers designed for them.
- Do not fully discharge a LiPo battery, as this will damage the cell. Stop using the battery immediately when the gun starts slowing down to prevent over-discharge.

What are LiPo batteries?
Lithium-ion polymer packs (LiPo) are the most efficient lithium-ion based battery packs. The main advantage of LiPo batteries is their high power-to-size ratio. For this reason, even a small LiPo battery can deliver high currents, solving power supply issues in guns with limited battery space. LiPo batteries also have no memory effect, so they can be recharged repeatedly without the need for complete discharge. Frequent charging is beneficial for LiPo batteries.
When using LiPo batteries, it is important not to let the cells discharge below 3 volts per cell. If the voltage drops below 3V per cell, irreversible chemical reactions occur inside the battery, reducing its performance and, in extreme cases, destroying it completely. During storage, a LiPo battery loses about 3–5% of its charge per month. Therefore, during long-term storage, LiPo batteries should be recharged periodically to maintain their properties. A new unused LiPo battery is typically stored at about 70% of its total capacity.
Additionally, cells must not be charged above 4.2 volts. LiPo chargers designed for these batteries prevent overcharging by cutting off the current at the correct point. Overcharging can cause a LiPo battery to catch fire! Always use chargers specifically designed for LiPo batteries!
In use, the average lifespan of a LiPo battery is about 500–700 charge cycles. LiPo batteries tolerate cold much better than traditional batteries, making winter play with electric guns possible in a completely new way. Although the batteries work in cold conditions, they should always be charged at room temperature.
