The Invader Gear Reaper is a plate carrier style protective vest. A plate carrier can be described as a lightweight combat vest designed to carry a pouch base and hard ballistic plates. Invader Gear has utilized new laser-cutting technology in the Reaper vest, reducing the amount of material used to an absolute minimum. The laser-cut slots on the vest base allow the attachment of any MOLLE-compatible pouch.
The front and back of the vest feature compartments for SAPI-sized ballistic plates. In addition, there are side pockets for installing side protectors. The vest comes with foam inserts that fill the plate compartments at the front and back, allowing the vest to be used without actual ballistic plates.
