The Maple Leaf Autobot 2023 series hop-up buckings represent the latest development in Maple Leaf’s hop-up bucking design. In the Silicone series, the material has been changed to a silicone-based compound, improving performance in varying temperatures. These Silicone hop-up buckings excel especially in cool or cold conditions, as silicone retains its elasticity even in low temperatures.
The design of the 2023 series is based on the proven original Autobot series. The most distinctive feature of the Autobot series is its long, hourglass-shaped curved hop-up nub, which can provide strong spin even for heavier BBs.

- Includes a steel C-clip to improve nozzle seal against the bucking. Use of the C-clip is optional.
- Support pieces inside the bucking on both sides of the barrel’s hop-up window

Standard round nubs in airsoft guns do not work optimally with Maple Leaf’s new buckings featuring a long contact patch, as a point-shaped nub curves the contact area of the bucking. This prevents full benefit from the Autobot hop’s extended contact surface and may cause the bucking to bend into an unintended position. We recommend using the bucking with a Maple Leaf curved nub or curved adjustment arm for best performance. For GBB pistols, use the Maple Leaf I-Key nub.
Hop-up Bucking Degree Rating (Hardness)
The degree rating indicates the softness of the bucking. The lower the number, the softer the bucking. Different hardness levels perform differently across various power ranges. In other words, the degree rating can be used as a guideline when selecting a suitable bucking for your airsoft gun based on its power. As a rule of thumb: the more powerful the gun, the harder the hop-up bucking should be. The table below shows the Taiwanese manufacturer’s own recommendations for different power levels.
