The Maple Leaf Macaron hop-up bucking nub differs from the traditional point-shaped nub. The Macaron bucking nub is a modern, flat, plate-like design several millimeters long. For the flat hop-up nub to function as intended, it also requires a flat hop-up tensioner. We recommend pairing the Macaron hop-up bucking with Maple Leaf’s flat curved tensioner.
Hop-up Bucking Degree Rating (Hardness)
The degree rating of hop-up buckings indicates the rubber’s softness. The lower the degree, the softer the rubber. Buckings with different hardness levels perform differently across various power ranges. In other words, the degree rating can serve as a guideline when selecting a suitable bucking for an airsoft gun, based on its power output. As a rule of thumb, the more powerful the gun, the harder the hop-up bucking should be.
