The Vector Optics SCRDM-01 is a lightweight aluminium red dot mounting plate designed for Glock 17 pistols with a standard rear sight dovetail. It uses the Vector Optics TEK footprint, corresponding to the widely used Docter/Noblex mounting standard. The plate allows compatible Vector Optics Frenzy sights and other TEK-pattern red dots to be installed in place of the original rear sight, without requiring an optics-ready slide.

Manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with a matte black finish, the mount weighs approximately 12 g and is only 3 mm thick. Its low-profile construction keeps the optic close to the slide without adding unnecessary height or weight. The mount is also listed by Vector Optics for several other Glock models with compatible rear sight dovetails.

TEK Footprint - Docter/Noblex Compatibility

The SCRDM-01 uses the Vector Optics TEK footprint, which corresponds to the Docter/Noblex mounting standard. The mounting surface features four locating posts arranged in a rectangular pattern and two screw holes for securing the optic. The locating post spacing is 40 × 20 mm.

According to Vector Optics, the following red dot sights use the compatible TEK footprint:

Vector Optics also lists compatibility with Vortex Venom and Viper, Burris FastFire 2/3 and several other red dot sights using the corresponding mounting pattern.

When using an optic from another manufacturer, verify the exact footprint, locating post dimensions and mounting screw compatibility. A similar mounting pattern does not necessarily guarantee a direct fit in every case.

Which Red Dot Sights Are Not Compatible?

Not all Vector Optics Frenzy sights use the same mounting footprint. The Frenzy product name alone does not guarantee compatibility with this mounting plate.

The SCRDM-01 is not directly compatible with the following mounting standards:

• Trijicon RMR / SRO footprint - Vector Optics MOJ
• Shield RMSc / SMS footprint - Vector Optics MGT
• Aimpoint ACRO footprint - Vector Optics VOD
• C-More RTS / STS footprint - Vector Optics GIN

For example, Vector Optics Frenzy SCRD-36, SCRD-37 and SCRD-58 use the MOJ footprint and will not fit this plate. Vector Optics Frenzy-S SCRD-43 uses the smaller MGT footprint and is also incompatible.

For Glock pistols requiring an RMR/MOJ footprint, Vector Optics offers the separate SCRDM-08 mounting plate.

Always check the exact model number and footprint of your red dot sight before purchasing. This plate is intended for the TEK mounting pattern, not RMR or RMSc optics.

Glock Compatibility and Installation

The SCRDM-01 is designed to replace the original rear sight on a Glock pistol. The rear sight must be removed before the adapter can be installed into the slide's rear sight dovetail.

The plate is primarily intended for standard Glock 17 pistols without the MOS optics mounting system. Vector Optics also lists compatibility with several other Glock models, including G19, G22, G23, G26 and G34, provided they use the corresponding rear sight dovetail.

This is a rear sight dovetail adapter, not a mounting plate for the Glock MOS optics cut. It should not be confused with the interchangeable adapter plates used on MOS-equipped slides.

Airsoft Glock Compatibility

The mounting plate was originally designed for real Glock firearms. Compatibility with airsoft Glock pistols is not guaranteed. Airsoft slides may use different rear sight dovetail dimensions, screw arrangements or proprietary mounting systems, even when their external appearance resembles a real Glock.

Installation on airsoft pistols may therefore require modification. Check the original rear sight construction and dimensions before purchasing, particularly on models with removable blowback units or manufacturer-specific rear sight mounting arrangements.
