The Vector Optics Frenzy FLEX 1x22x26 MOS is a compact open reflex red dot sight combining a large 22 × 26 mm viewing window with a precise 3 MOA red dot. Designed for fast target acquisition, it features motion-activated power saving, a low-profile aluminium housing and a durable construction suitable for both airsoft and real firearms. Its MOJ (Trijicon RMR) footprint and included Weaver rail mount make it a versatile choice for compatible pistols, rifles and other shooting platforms.

The generous viewing window makes it easier to locate and maintain the red dot during rapid target transitions, particularly when shooting with both eyes open. Despite its large window, the Frenzy FLEX retains a compact design and weighs only approximately 30 g without the mount, making it particularly attractive for pistol and CQB applications.

Large Viewing Window and Precise 3 MOA Red Dot

The 22 × 26 mm window provides a wide, unobstructed sight picture, helping the user acquire targets quickly and keep the aiming point visible during movement. The open reflex design is especially useful in situations where rapid target transitions and awareness of the surrounding environment are important.

The 3 MOA red dot offers a practical balance between speed and precision. It is easy to locate while covering less of the target than larger reticles, making it suitable for both close-range engagements and more deliberate aiming at longer distances.

Brightness is adjustable through 10 settings, including eight daylight levels and two night-vision-compatible settings. The multi-coated lens and unlimited eye relief allow comfortable aiming with both eyes open.

Unlike the SCRD-M36 Multi Reticle version, the SCRD-36 uses a single 3 MOA red dot without selectable circle or combination reticles.

Motion Sensor and Automatic Power Saving

The Frenzy FLEX features a built-in motion sensor that automatically switches the illumination off after approximately two minutes of inactivity. When movement is detected, the sight reactivates automatically without requiring the user to switch it on manually.

This feature helps conserve battery power while keeping the optic ready for use. It is particularly convenient during airsoft games, where the replica may remain stationary between engagements.

The sight uses a CR2032 battery, with a manufacturer-rated battery life of up to 50,000 hours at the lowest brightness setting. Actual battery life depends on brightness, movement and operating conditions.

The battery compartment is located underneath the sight, meaning the optic must be removed from its mounting plate or base to replace the battery. The zero should be checked after reinstallation.

MOJ Footprint - Trijicon RMR Compatibility

The Frenzy FLEX SCRD-36 uses the Vector Optics MOJ footprint, which corresponds to the Trijicon RMR mounting standard. This mounting pattern is widely used on pistol red dot sights and compatible optics-ready mounting systems.

The sight can be installed on compatible RMR-pattern pistol slides or adapter plates. For pistols using a different mounting system, a model-specific RMR-compatible adapter plate is required.

A 21 mm Weaver/Picatinny-compatible mount is included, allowing the sight to be installed directly onto compatible accessory rails on airsoft rifles and other platforms.

The MOJ footprint is not directly compatible with Vector Optics TEK (Docter/Noblex) or MGT (Shield RMSc/SMS) mounting plates. For example, the Vector Optics SCRDM-01, SCRDM-02 and SCRDM-03 pistol mounting plates use the TEK footprint and are not suitable for this sight.

Vector Optics also offers separate MOJ-compatible mounting solutions, including the SCRDM-08 Glock rear sight adapter and dedicated MOJ Picatinny mounting options.

The MOS designation refers to the sight's motion sensor feature and does not mean it mounts directly to every Glock MOS or optics-ready pistol slide. A suitable RMR-compatible mounting plate may still be required. Compatibility with airsoft pistols depends on the exact slide and mounting plate construction.

Low-Profile and Durable Aluminium Construction

The Frenzy FLEX housing and included mount are manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, combining durability with relatively low weight. The sight features a slim 7 mm frame profile, helping keep the optic compact and reducing unnecessary obstruction of the sight picture.

At approximately 30 g without the mount, the sight adds relatively little weight to a pistol slide. This is particularly useful on gas blowback pistols, where additional moving mass can affect cycling performance.

The optic has an IPX6 water resistance rating, providing protection against powerful water jets and heavy rain. Its rated shock resistance is 1000 G, making it suitable for demanding shooting applications, including use on real firearms.

Windage and elevation adjustments have a range of 45 MOA in each direction, allowing the sight to be zeroed for the intended shooting distance.
