RetroArms gearboxes are CNC-machined from a single block of EN AW 7075 T651 aluminum, making them extremely durable even under heavy stress, unlike cast gearboxes. Another advantage of a gearbox machined from a single piece is the precision of the manufacturing process. You no longer have to deal with shimming or compatibility issues caused by inaccurate dimensions. These gearboxes are the latest batch, improved over time for better compatibility with parts from different manufacturers based on user feedback.
The two-piece split gearbox is designed for easier maintenance. To replace the piston, you don’t need to open the lower section, and shimming will not be disturbed by accident. The gearbox does not include a hop-up chamber, allowing you to choose the one you prefer. RetroArms recommends using a 21.4 mm nozzle with the split gearbox.
Features
- QSC (Quick Spring Change) – Quick spring change system with a bearing spring guide. QSC also makes opening and assembling the gearbox easier.
- Reinforced cuts – corners are pre-rounded to reduce stress on the front section
- Improved and protected wiring channel – prevents the motor or gears from damaging the insulation
- Precise dimensions and quality pins – the selector plate, trigger, and small springs stay in place more securely. Spring pins for the trigger mechanism, tappet plate, and selector plate include grooves for the springs
- Added groove for the selector plate to keep it in place better
- Side openings to check the piston and sector gear engagement angle and to release the anti-reversal latch
- Durable threads
- Halves aligned with grooves and tabs
- 9 mm bearing seats
Package Includes
- Gearbox shell
- Bearing spring guide
- Screws
Note! Do not use MAXX MODEL cylinder heads or similar parts with RetroArms CNC gearboxes if they do not transfer impact to the front edge of the gearbox. The pins designed to keep the cylinder head in position should not absorb the piston’s impact. Using an incompatible cylinder head will damage the gearbox.
Installing internal parts requires experience and skill. There are many airsoft manufacturers on the market, each with its own standards. For this reason, when using parts from different manufacturers, some fitting may be required. We recommend using only parts that are directly Tokyo Marui compatible to avoid compatibility issues.
