Invader Gear Mod 2 Boonie Hat - CAD
The Invader Gear Mod 2 Boonie Hat is an updated version of the classic boonie hat designed for airsoft, hiking and other outdoor activities. Its durable ripstop fabric, ventilated construction and adjustable chin cord make it a practical choice for warm weather and active use.
Updated boonie-hat design
The Mod 2 features a slightly narrower brim than a traditional boonie hat. The revised shape retains practical coverage around the head while reducing the risk of the brim catching on branches, bushes and dense vegetation.
Four ventilation openings on the sides improve airflow around the head. An adjustable chin cord with a polymer stopper helps keep the hat securely in place during movement and windy conditions.
Attachment points for camouflage material
Fabric loops around the crown allow branches, vegetation and other camouflage material to be attached to the hat. Four crossed fabric sections on top provide additional attachment points and help break up the recognisable outline of the wearer’s head.
CAD and CADPAT-style camouflage
CAD is Invader Gear’s designation for a green digital woodland camouflage inspired by CADPAT. CADPAT stands for Canadian Disruptive Pattern and refers to a family of camouflage patterns developed for the Canadian Armed Forces.
The pixelated combination of light green, dark green, brown and black tones is particularly suitable for woodland environments, grassland and areas with dense green vegetation. Invader Gear CAD is a commercially produced CADPAT-style pattern and is not official Canadian Armed Forces uniform fabric.
