LCT ZKS-74UN Sport AEG – A modern AK classic with Zenit style furniture
In the 1980s, the Soviet armed forces needed a rifle that was as effective as the AK-74 but significantly shorter and easier to handle in confined spaces, vehicles and urban environments. This led to the creation of the AKS-74U, the compact carbine often referred to by the nickname “Krinkov.” It retained the trademark characteristics of the AK platform but condensed them into a small and highly maneuverable package.
The LCT ZKS-74UN Sport AEG brings this classic to airsoft fields in a modernized form. It is a compact and capable electric airsoft rifle featuring a full steel construction, Zenit style modular aluminum rail systems and a folding, adjustable Z series stock. It is an excellent choice for players who want a sturdy and agile AK pattern replica for CQB, urban milsim events or simply appreciate the iconic style of the ZKS-74UN Sport.
The LCT Sport model differs from standard LCT rifles in that its external parts are mostly steel, with exceptions such as the stock, handguard, gas tube cover and top cover, which are made from aluminum. The pistol grip and magazine are made of polymer. The front handguard uses a modular Russian mounting system that functions as their counterpart to M-LOK and KeyMod. Like its Western equivalents, this mounting platform allows flexible placement of different length RIS rails and accessories. The rifle also includes a folding Z Series style tactical stock with adjustable length and cheek rest, as well as a steel muzzle brake.
High quality and reliable internal components
LCT’s well known internal construction features a reinforced Version 3 gearbox with 9 mm bearings, a steel tooth piston and a quick change spring system. The hop-up unit is a modern rotary type that provides precise adjustment and long range consistency.
The battery compartment is located under the steel dust cover, and fits various AK stick type batteries with a Deans / T plug.
