Maple Leaf is among the top manufacturers of upgrade parts. Best known for their hop-up rubbers, Maple Leaf produces high-quality upgrade components for spring-powered sniper rifles, gas pistols, and electric guns.
- Narrowed feed lip for a tighter seal with the nozzle.
- C-clip further improves sealing by preventing the hop-up rubber from expanding during feeding and firing.
- Specially designed pressure point geometry reduces FPS variation.
- Compatible with Marui / WE / KJ GBB pistols, WE GBBR rifles, and VSR-10-based spring rifles.
In airsoft guns, a standard round nub does not work optimally with Maple Leaf’s new hop-up rubbers featuring an extended contact patch, as the point-shaped nub bends the contact area into a curve. This prevents full benefit from the MR hop’s long contact surface and may cause the rubber to deform into an unintended position. We recommend using Maple Leaf’s curved nub or curved adjustment arm with MR hop for best performance. For GBB pistols, use the Maple Leaf I-Key nub.
Hop-up Rubber Degree Rating (Hardness)
The degree rating of hop-up rubbers indicates their softness. The lower the number, the softer the rubber. Different hardness levels perform differently across various power ranges. In other words, the degree rating serves as a guideline for selecting the right rubber for your airsoft gun based on its power. As a rule of thumb: the more powerful the gun, the harder the hop-up rubber should be. The table below shows the Taiwanese manufacturer’s own recommendations for suitable power ranges.
| Hardness and Color |
Recommended Power Range |
| 50 – Green |
Below 110 m/s (1.2 J) |
| 60 – Yellow |
90-120 m/s (0.8-1.5 J) |
| 70 – Blue |
110-140 m/s (1.2-2 J) |
| 75 – Red |
130-150 m/s (1.7-2.25 J) |
| 80 – Black |
Over 150 m/s (2.25 J) |
