Specna Arms Sten MK.II(S) Command Grip RETRO AEG Submachine Gun (X-ASR/Tracer)
A compact and highly distinctive STEN MK.II(S) variant with a stockless Command Grip configuration, steel construction, GATE X-ASR MOSFET and an included tracer unit.
The Specna Arms Sten MK.II(S) Command Grip RETRO AEG Submachine Gun belongs to the Specna Arms Retro series developed in cooperation with S&T/AGM. The series is aimed at airsoft players, collectors and historical re-enactment enthusiasts who appreciate iconic military designs and unusual experimental configurations from the past.
This Command Grip version is based on specialist and experimental STEN MK.II configurations developed for compact use by paratroopers, special forces and personnel operating in confined spaces. Instead of a conventional stock, the replica features a skeletonized pistol grip, creating a shorter and more agile platform while retaining the unmistakable appearance of the STEN system.
The stockless configuration makes the replica easier to maneuver in bunkers, trenches, vehicles, rooms and other restricted environments. Combined with the long suppressor-style front section and side-mounted magazine, it creates an especially unusual historical-inspired airsoft platform that stands out clearly from more conventional Second World War replicas.
Steel construction and stockless Command Grip design
The replica is constructed mainly from steel. The magazine well, receiver, charging handle, trigger guard, pistol grip and mechanical sights are all made from steel, giving the replica a solid feel and durable external structure.
The skeletonized Command Grip replaces the traditional stock and gives the replica its defining appearance. This shortens the rear of the gun and improves mobility, although the lack of a shoulder stock also creates a handling style that differs significantly from standard rifle and submachine gun layouts.
The detachable suppressor replica is made from aluminium. Beneath it is the compartment for the battery and the GATE X-ASR MOSFET module, keeping the electrical system hidden while preserving the replica’s distinctive external profile.
Included tracer unit
The included tracer unit illuminates compatible fluorescent tracer BBs as they leave the barrel. It also supports a simulated muzzle-flash effect, adding a more dramatic visual element to firing.
The effect is particularly impressive in indoor arenas, low-light conditions and night games. A USB-C charging cable is included for charging the tracer unit.
Compatible fluorescent tracer BBs are required for the illumination function and are sold separately.
GATE X-ASR MOSFET
A factory-installed GATE X-ASR MOSFET helps protect the replica’s electrical components and reduces the electrical load placed on the mechanical trigger contacts. It also improves trigger response and can help extend the service life of the wiring and battery when used correctly.
Built-in diagnostic LEDs can indicate basic electrical faults. The included GATE X-ASR diagnostic card helps the user interpret the indicator signals and simplifies troubleshooting.
Full-automatic AEG performance
The replica uses a Version 7 gearbox and operates in full-automatic mode. The advertised muzzle velocity is approximately 134 m/s (440 FPS) with a 0.20 g BB.
This is a relatively high muzzle velocity for a submachine gun-style airsoft replica, so local field limits and engagement-distance rules should be checked before use.
The adjustable hop-up allows the BB trajectory to be tuned according to the selected BB weight and playing conditions. The replica is fitted with a 355 mm inner barrel.
120-round mid-cap magazine
The included mid-cap magazine holds 120 BBs. It feeds through an internal spring and does not require winding during use. A BB speedloader is included to make loading the magazine easier.
The side-mounted magazine is one of the defining features of the STEN platform and gives the replica a noticeably different balance and handling style compared with conventional rifles and submachine guns.
