Description
The PolarStar F2 combines the extreme performance of the PolarStar Fusion Engine with a compact and universally compatible design. The F2’s key feature is its dual solenoid system, inherited from the Fusion Engine, which allows independent adjustment of the valve and nozzle movement. This provides unprecedented control over both the loading time and air volume. It also enables complete customization of firing modes and solenoid movements, allowing the F2 to operate in either closed-bolt or open-bolt configuration.
The F2™ is built around a lightweight poppet valve design, similar in principle to the Fusion Engine™ poppet. This lightweight valve operates at lower pressures and consumes less air, improving air efficiency compared to the Fusion Engine.
The well-thought-out design supports a wide operating pressure range from 45 psi to 145 psi. This broad range allows the F2 to achieve both low and high muzzle velocities, making it suitable for airsoft guns intended for close-quarters combat as well as long-range precision builds.
The F2’s nozzle return mechanism is spring-driven, providing consistent loading force regardless of operating pressure. The F2 is compatible with Fusion Engine nozzle springs.

- Muzzle Velocity: 145 psi with 363 mm barrel and 0.20 g BB – 146 m/s
- The F2™ allows easy adjustment of muzzle velocity simply by changing the input pressure on the regulator, without requiring different nozzles. In a standard M4 rifle, for example, it can achieve 85–146 m/s (280–480 FPS) with 0.20 g BBs. Velocity may vary depending on the model, as longer barrels increase maximum speed while shorter barrels reduce it.
- Rate of Fire: 30 rounds per second (30 RPS)
- The maximum rate of fire of the F2™ depends on several factors, such as operating pressure and BB quality. 30 rounds per second is achievable in most standard configurations.
- Air Efficiency: 1000+ shots with a 13/3000 tank @ 1.5 J using 0.28 g BBs
- The standard F2™ valve corresponds to the Fusion Engine™ Red Low-Flow valve. However, this valve responds faster and requires less air to operate, allowing the F2™ to achieve greater air efficiency than a finely tuned Fusion Engine™. (Test configuration: Red valve / 6.05x375 mm barrel)
