An extremely durable and high-quality piston made from fiber-reinforced nylon, this is an excellent choice for all types of builds. The first teeth of the piston are made from strong, laterally reinforced, slightly flexible plastic. There is plenty of material behind the first tooth for added durability. The second tooth has been pre-removed to make angle of engagement adjustment easier. The Lonex red piston differs from the blue version in that the red piston has increased wall thickness compared to the blue one. For this reason, the red piston is about one gram heavier than the blue version.
Fiber-reinforced nylon, alongside polyacetal (POM), is one of the best materials for manufacturing AEG pistons, as it withstands stress well and is technically suitable for production. A piston made from fiber-reinforced nylon is significantly more durable than pistons made from polycarbonate, as the fiber-reinforced material allows slight flex under stress, whereas a polycarbonate piston tends to crack.
