Specna Arms FN Herstal M249 PARA CORE Machine Gun AEG - Tan
The Specna Arms FN Herstal M249 PARA CORE is a lightweight electric airsoft machine gun designed for the support gunner role. Manufactured under Cybergun's FN Herstal licence, the replica combines licensed markings, a reinforced M249 gearbox and a 2500-BB electrically fed box magazine with a lighter CORE-series construction.
At approximately 4.97 kg, the M249 PARA CORE is noticeably lighter than many traditional M249 replicas. The reduced weight makes the machine gun easier to carry during longer games while retaining the large magazine capacity and sustained full-auto capability expected from an airsoft support weapon.
Licensed FN Herstal markings
The replica features licensed FN Herstal markings under Cybergun licence, giving the M249 PARA CORE an authentic appearance.
Lightweight CORE construction
To reduce overall weight, several external components are made from durable polymer, including the main body, handguard, top cover with RIS rail, stock, magazine and pistol grip.
The outer barrel, magazine interface, stock guide and flash hider are made from metal. High-stress components including the folding bipod, outer barrel lock, stock support, trigger guard, carrying handle, pins and mounting hardware are made from steel.
2500-BB electric box magazine
The included box magazine has a capacity of approximately 2500 BBs and uses an electric feeding mechanism. The magazine is powered by two AA batteries, which are not included.
The replica can also use compatible AR15 / STANAG-style magazines, giving the player an alternative to the large box magazine when required.
Reinforced M249 gearbox
The M249 PARA CORE uses a full-size reinforced metal M249 gearbox designed to withstand the demands of sustained full-auto fire.
Internal components include an M120 spring, steel gears, 8 mm ball bearings and a bearing-mounted spring guide.
ESA quick-change spring system
The Specna Arms ESA quick-change spring system allows the main spring to be replaced without completely disassembling the gearbox. The spring guide can be accessed through the rear of the replica after opening the stock assembly.
When using an M90 spring, Specna Arms recommends using a 7.4 V battery to reduce the risk of malfunctions.
Adjustable rotary hop-up
The replica features a metal rotary hop-up chamber for adjusting the BB trajectory. The stated muzzle velocity is approximately 122 m/s / 400 FPS with the factory configuration.
Quick-removable outer barrel
The M249 PARA CORE features a quick barrel removal system inspired by the original M249 design. In addition to adding authenticity, the system makes access to the front section easier during maintenance.
Adjustable PARA stock and folding bipod
The adjustable tactical stock allows the overall length to be changed from approximately 790 mm to 920 mm. A folding steel bipod provides a stable support point when firing from the ground or another supported position.
