Electro River LiPo Batteries
The Electro River brand sets new quality standards in the LiPo market. Electro River has established requirements for its products so that they can compete with the top LiPo batteries on the market while remaining affordable. The Electro River™ LiPo battery range includes extremely compact battery solutions that fit even in very limited battery spaces. Some battery packs are as small as a lighter, yet still powerful enough to run even high-performance airsoft guns.
The wires and internal connections of Electro River batteries are selected to provide the lowest possible resistance and maintain high energy potential by minimizing energy loss during transfer. Good wiring also reduces battery heating. Each cell is equipped with a NanoSafe® protective shell, which reduces the risk of damage caused by a LiPo fire in the event of a malfunction.
The batteries feature Subzero Power® technology, which improves cold resistance compared to traditional LiPo batteries. When the temperature drops below zero, Electro River batteries discharge very little due to the cold. High-quality cells and components also ensure minimal internal resistance and stable voltage even under load. For these reasons, Electro River batteries are an extremely attractive option for all users!
What are LiPo batteries?
Lithium-ion polymer packs (LiPo) are the most efficient lithium-ion-based battery packs. The biggest advantage of LiPo batteries is their high power-to-size ratio. This means even a small LiPo battery can deliver high currents, solving power issues in guns with limited battery space instantly. LiPo batteries also have no memory effect, so they can be recharged repeatedly without the need for complete discharge. Frequent charging is beneficial for LiPo batteries.
When using LiPo batteries, it is important to remember that cells should never be discharged below 3 volts per cell. If the voltage drops below 3V per cell, irreversible chemical reactions occur inside the battery, reducing performance and potentially destroying the battery. During storage, a LiPo battery loses about 3–5% of its charge per month. For this reason, LiPo batteries should be recharged periodically during long-term storage to maintain their properties. A new unused LiPo battery is typically stored at about 70% of its total capacity.
Additionally, cells must not be charged above 4.2 volts. Overcharging protection is provided by LiPo chargers designed specifically for LiPo batteries, which cut off the current at the correct point. Overcharging can cause a LiPo battery to catch fire! Always use chargers designed for LiPo batteries only!
In use, the average lifespan of a LiPo battery is about 500–700 charge cycles. LiPo batteries tolerate cold much better than traditional batteries, making winter gameplay with electric guns possible in a whole new way. Although they work in cold conditions, they should always be charged at room temperature.
