LCT ZP-1901 Sport AEG – A modernized PP-19 with Zenit style furniture
The LCT Sport ZP-1901 AEG is the airsoft version of one of modern Russia’s most recognizable submachine guns: the PP-19-01 “Vityaz.” The weapon is based on the AKS-74U receiver but redesigned specifically for the 9×19 mm Parabellum cartridge. Developed in the late 1990s for Russian special forces, the Vityaz was created to be compact, easy to control and highly reliable in close quarters engagements, while remaining fully compatible with the maintenance, handling and training routines of the AK platform.
The Vityaz is still used by FSB, SOBR and various other Russian internal security units, and it has been widely featured in news footage, documentaries and video games. LCT’s ZP-1901 brings this iconic firearm to airsoft players with accurate external design and high quality internals, now equipped with Zenit style Sport furniture.
The LCT Sport series differs from LCT’s standard models in that the external parts are mostly steel, with exceptions such as the stock, handguard, gas tube cover and top cover, which are made from aluminum. The pistol grip and magazine are made from polymer. The front handguard uses a modular Russian mounting system that serves as their counterpart to the M-LOK and KeyMod standards. As with the Western equivalents, this mounting platform allows flexible placement of RIS rails and accessories in different lengths. The rifle also features a folding Z Series tactical stock with adjustable length and cheek rest, as well as a steel muzzle brake.
High quality and reliable internal components
LCT’s well known internal build features a reinforced Version 3 gearbox with 9 mm bearings, a steel tooth piston and a quick change spring system. The hop-up unit is a modern rotary design that provides precise adjustment and long effective range.
The battery compartment is located under the steel dust cover and fits various AK stick type batteries equipped with a Deans / T compatible connector.
