Specna Arms SA-F04-RL BLDC FLEX Gen.2 is a electric airsoft carbine for players looking for a lightweight, reliable weapon with the best performance in its price range. Built on the FLEX Gen.2 platform, the BLDC model combines programmable HAL electronics, the ESA quick spring change system and a high-performance brushless motor, making this airsoft gun comparable to many upgraded models straight out of the box.
The internal mechanism is built inside a Specna Arms Ather reinforced gearbox. The HAL electronics use magnetic trigger detection and allow settings to be adjusted directly through the trigger, including trigger sensitivity, pre-cocking and fire modes, without needing to open the gun. The powerful brushless motor, active brake and binary trigger function provide a crisp trigger response.
The external body is made from nylon fibre-reinforced polymer, keeping the weight low while still offering good durability. The parts exposed to the most stress are made from metal, adding strength where it is needed. The ESA quick spring change system makes it easy to adjust the gun’s muzzle energy according to field limits or game type.
The SA-F04-RL receiver is designed to be ambidextrous. Fire selectors and magazine releases can be found on both sides of the receiver. The gun also features a functional bolt catch, which makes hop-up adjustment easier. By functional bolt catch, we mean that the dust cover under the ejection port can be locked open, allowing easy access to the hop-up adjustment wheel.
The gun’s handguard is M-LOK compatible, and the stock is an adjustable Specna Arms Light Ops retractable stock.

ESA quick spring change
- Remove the retractable stock by pulling it off the buffer tube.
- Unscrew the buffer tube using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Open the plug located under the buffer tube using an Allen key.
- Replace the spring with a new one.
- Reassemble the stock.
The entire process can comfortably be completed in under two minutes.
