Gate MERF 3.2 is a third-generation MOSFET unit featuring ten functions. The latest addition is a three-round burst mode. The system allows rate of fire reduction without increasing semi-auto delay. The unit protects modern batteries (Li-ion, LiPoly, and LiFePO4) from undervoltage. It includes an active brake and provides the same protection for your AEG’s trigger contacts as a standard MOSFET. The Smart Trigger feature enables a shorter trigger response without increasing the rate of fire.

A MOSFET eliminates power loss caused by the contact of standard mechanical trigger contacts. Mechanical switches heat up and spark, eventually leading to carbonized contacts. The MOSFET replaces the mechanical switch, preventing contact burn. With a MOSFET, power flows directly from the battery to the motor without passing through worn contacts. This reduces electrical resistance and delivers more power to the motor, resulting in higher rate of fire and shorter trigger response.
Active Brake
1. The gear set always completes a full cycle. The piston returns to the forward position after each shot, so the gearbox is never left under unnecessary tension. This extends the life of the gearbox components.
2. Increases realism. The brake eliminates double shots and ensures the gun fires exactly as many BBs as the player intends, especially useful for semi-auto users.
Provides protection as follows:
SCP – Short Circuit Protection disconnects the battery within milliseconds if a short circuit occurs. This is critical for protecting Li-Po batteries. A shorted Li-Po can cause permanent damage to the gun and the user.
OTP – Over Temperature Protection prevents the unit from overheating. A built-in sensor monitors temperature and shuts down the circuit if it exceeds a critical level, avoiding damage.
UVP – Under Voltage Protection shuts down the circuit if the battery voltage is too low. This prevents over-discharge, which can permanently damage the battery. Especially useful with LiPo batteries.
If a fault occurs, the fuse activates immediately after the trigger is pulled. On the next pull, the unit evaluates the fault within milliseconds and decides whether to disconnect the battery or continue operation.
Allows rate of fire adjustment. ROF can be set between 30–100% of the original speed. Reducing ROF does not affect other performance aspects.
Enables shorter trigger response. Works with ROF control by setting the first shot to 100% ROF, then reducing to the preset limit. Best results are achieved with a high-performance battery that would otherwise increase ROF excessively. Smart Trigger lets you enjoy fast trigger response without an unreasonably high full-auto rate of fire.
Using burst fire instead of full-auto saves BBs.

If you release the trigger before the 3-round burst completes, the gun stops firing. This means you can fire 1 or 2 shots with quick trigger pulls even in burst mode. Burst duration can be adjusted in 4 ms (0.004s) increments. The unit automatically extends burst time as battery voltage drops and ROF decreases.
