Wolverine Airsoft MTW-308 Tactical XB
The Wolverine Airsoft MTW-308 Tactical XB is a purpose-built HPA marksman rifle designed for players who want the power and precision of a DMR platform combined with fast semi-automatic follow-up shots. The new XB configuration upgrades the proven MTW-308 with Wolverine's latest INFERNO XTS HPA engine and BLINC Bluetooth FCU.
The MTW-308 is built around a genuine CNC-machined billet aluminium .308 receiver set and uses SR-25 style magazines. Its larger receiver, 13" M-LOK handguard and 14.5" barrel configuration give the rifle a distinct DMR profile while retaining the intrinsic alignment, modularity and durability of the MTW platform.
What does XB mean?
Wolverine uses letter combinations to identify the technology installed in its current Tactical MTW configurations:
- X = INFERNO XTS HPA Engine
- B = BLINC Bluetooth FCU
- R = QUAKE Recoil Stock
This Tactical XB version therefore includes the INFERNO XTS engine and BLINC Bluetooth FCU, but does not include the QUAKE recoil system.
INFERNO XTS HPA engine
The INFERNO XTS is the next generation of Wolverine's proven INFERNO system. It retains the independent poppet and nozzle architecture while redesigning several parts of the firing cycle to improve feeding consistency, air sealing and tuning flexibility.
The Extended Stroke system increases separation between the loading and firing movements. This gives the BB more time to settle into the hop-up chamber before firing and helps create a consistent seal between the nozzle and hop-up bucking.
The XTS also features a redesigned stainless-steel nozzle, a one-piece low-friction Delrin baffle and an optimised valve housing designed to reduce wasted air and make dwell tuning more forgiving.
BLINC Bluetooth FCU
The BLINC Bluetooth FCU replaces the Spartan electronics used in the previous MTW-308 Tactical generation. It combines the FCU and trigger board into a programmable electronic system with Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity.
Using the Wolverine BLINC app, settings can be adjusted wirelessly, profiles can be saved and important operating information can be monitored without opening the rifle.

Compatible Acetech Bluetooth devices can also provide real-time chronograph data to BLINC and enable Wolverine's automatic dwell tuning function.
Semi-automatic DMR platform
The MTW-308 is designed specifically as a semi-automatic marksman rifle. The rifle uses a two-position ambidextrous selector for Safe and Semi-Auto operation.
This provides considerably faster follow-up shots than a manually operated sniper rifle while retaining the larger SR-25 / .308-style platform associated with DMR builds.
MTW-Spec 308 magazine with empty-mag detection
The current MTW-308 includes Wolverine's MTW-Spec 308 magazine. When this magazine is used, the rifle detects when the magazine is empty and stops firing.
The rifle is also compatible with A&K and Classic Army style SR-25 AEG magazines. Conventional SR-25 magazines can be useful as additional magazines, but the MTW empty-magazine detection requires a compatible MTW-Spec 308 magazine.
Genuine billet aluminium .308 receiver
The upper and lower receiver are CNC-machined from billet aluminium specifically for the MTW-308 platform. Because the system is designed around the HPA engine from the beginning, the engine, hop-up and barrel can be intrinsically aligned without relying on a conventional AEG gearbox shell.
The rifle can also be disassembled without tools using real-steel-style receiver pins and detents. Wolverine's Hardpoint airline disconnect system allows the upper and lower receiver to be separated without having to dismantle the HPA line routing.
13" Invictus M-LOK handguard
The rifle uses a 13" Invictus MK-1 aluminium handguard with M-LOK attachment surfaces on seven sides. The long handguard provides plenty of room for grips, bipods and other compatible accessories while retaining a relatively slim profile.
Adjustable 14.5" / 16" barrel configuration
The MTW-308 features a 14.5" outer barrel and includes a 1.5" barrel extension, allowing the external barrel configuration to be extended to approximately 16".
Inside is a 380 mm inner barrel. The muzzle uses a standard 14 mm CCW thread for compatible muzzle devices.

What is required to use the rifle?
The MTW-308 Tactical XB uses an external compressed-air source. To operate the rifle, you need a compatible compressed-air tank, HPA regulator and HPA line.
The electronic HPA system also requires a compatible battery.
