The Modestone pad is made in Finland and certified with the Key Flag symbol. The main raw material is limestone powder (CaCO3), a by-product of limestone quarries. Modestone paper consists of 80% limestone and 20% recyclable, combustible PE plastic. This makes Modestone paper more environmentally friendly compared to fully synthetic papers. Modestone looks like regular paper, but its production uses no pulp, water, or bleach. As a result, its environmental impact is much lower than that of traditional paper manufacturing.
