The Maple Leaf 2026 Diamond is a hop-up bucking designed for VSR and GBB airsoft guns. Its W-shaped, dual-contact-point design is engineered to improve BB backspin and range. The updated 2026 version features improved air sealing and more consistent performance. This 75° hardness version is particularly suitable for higher-powered airsoft guns.
The Diamond bucking features a W-shaped hop-up contact surface that applies pressure to the BB at two contact points. This design helps center the BB and generate strong, consistent backspin. The Diamond is Maple Leaf's range-focused option, while the Delta version uses a V-shaped, single-contact-point design that emphasizes accuracy and BB trajectory consistency.
Updated Design and Improved Air Sealing
The 2026 version features a redesigned sealing structure with a narrowed opening and a thin black sealing ring to help reduce air leakage. C-Clip reinforcements at the front and rear of the bucking support the sealing lips and improve air sealing. A more airtight system can reduce shot-to-shot muzzle velocity variations and contribute to more consistent performance.
The bucking's flat contact surface design makes proper hop-up alignment easier. Additionally, the alignment tab includes a cutting mark to simplify fitting the bucking into compatible M4/AR15 GBB hop-up chambers.
75° Hardness for Higher-Powered Setups
The red Diamond hop-up bucking has a hardness rating of 75° and a recommended muzzle velocity range of approximately 130-150 m/s (430-490 FPS). The harder rubber compound is particularly suitable for higher-powered setups where the hop-up bucking is subjected to greater stress. It offers better wear resistance than softer alternatives but generally requires more hop-up pressure to achieve the same amount of backspin.
Choosing the appropriate hardness also depends on muzzle velocity, BB weight, hop-up system, and operating conditions.
